Looking for a fun and creative evening out? Join Hampshire artist Kat Hutchings at The Design Chapel in Southampton for a unique Sip & Paint evening.
You will be guided through the painting process, step-by-step, its all about having fun and getting creative - think glass of wine in one hand, paintbrush in the other!
This event is completely judgement free with no creative experience required. Don’t worry if you’re not sure where to start – there will be plenty of guidance and encouragement as well as opportunity to let your creative expression run wild if you want to. All the materials you need will be provided, from the canvas and easel to paints, brushes, palettes, and an apron. And, with the all important wine (and soft drinks) included*.
Get ready for a fun, creative evening with great company. Who knows? You might be surprised what you can create when you don't take yourself too seriously.
Limited numbers, we suggest you book early to avoid disappointment.

An energising hour of yoga with Kat Hutchings, suitable for anyone wanting to move their body and greet the day!
An hour of vinyasa style yoga, taught by a friendly and experienced teacher. The class is suitable for beginners and I always try to make sure there is a version of each pose to suit everyone.
Instructions
Wear comfy clothes you can stretch in and bring a drink and a yoga mat. If you do not have a mat, please let me know at least 24 hours before the class and I will bring a spare!

Get into the Christmas spirit and be creative at our wreath making workshop. You’ll learn the art of making a beautiful wreath starting with a 15” (30cm) dried vine wreath ring and a selection of winter foliage. You can then decorate in your own personal style from a large choice of natural accessories and ribbons. Our experienced instructors Rachel & Jane will guide you through the process with as much help as you need.

Southampton Dachshunds Halloween Walk
It’s time for Southampton Dachshunds Halloween Walk
Get ready for the annual Southampton Dachshunds Halloween Walk, a fun and spooky outing for dachshunds and their humans! Join for a relaxed, friendly walk around Southampton Common, starting from the beautiful Design Chapel on Cemetery Road. Costumes are optional but always welcome!
Meet at 11:30 AM for a group photo (we’ll wait for any late sausages before setting off)
Parking: Available near the Design Chapel.

This is a casual stroll suitable for all walking speeds, and we stick together as a group. Whether your dachshund is zooming or sniffing every leaf, we’ve got you covered! If you have any concerns or special requirements, feel free to reach out to Kathryn beforehand. All dogs are welcome - mixed breeds and non dachshunds.

Bat Talk & Walk
Nik Knight, the Chairman & County Bat Recorder from the Hampshire Bat Group is visiting the Design Chapel to deliver a talk on all things bats, including details on the bats that live right here in Southampton old cemetery, and then we are going detecting at nightfall 🦇📡🦇📡🦇
Bats are remarkable but undervalued mammals. They are capable of catching flying insects in total darkness and living up to 25 years. This presentation will illustrate their fascinating lives and the issues they face in the modern world.
The Hampshire Bat Group is at the forefront of bat research and conservation in this county. Speaker: Nik Knight is a retired zoologist who devotes much of his time to the study and conservation of bats. He is both the Chairman of the Hampshire Bat Group and the Hampshire County Recorder for Bats.
£8 per ticket, including light refreshments, with all proceeds going to bat conservation.
Southampton Dachshunds Summer Stroll
It’s time for our summer stroll!
Meet at the Design Chapel at 11am (just around the corner from the usual meeting place, lots of parking).
We will aim to meet at the green doors for a picture (optional) at 11am to wait for late comers.
The walk will be followed by dog friendly venue with drinks provided, for those that want to stay and chat and explore this beautiful space.
As usual, all dogs welcome - mixed breeds and non dachshunds. All walker speeds welcome, we will walk and accommodate everyone. Family friendly walk. Please let us know if you have any concerns at the beginning of the walk.

Our sessions will be the first Friday every month from 7pm to 9pm and will include jewellery making, wine/beer tasting, crafts, quiz nights, fitness and more.
