Bat Talk & Walk

Nik Knight, the Chairman & County Bat Recorder from the Hampshire Bat Group is visiting the Design Chapel to deliver a talk on all things bats, including details on the bats that live right here in Southampton old cemetery, and then we are going detecting at nightfall πŸ¦‡πŸ“‘πŸ¦‡πŸ“‘πŸ¦‡

Bats are remarkable but undervalued mammals. They are capable of catching flying insects in total darkness and living up to 25 years. This presentation will illustrate their fascinating lives and the issues they face in the modern world.

The Hampshire Bat Group is at the forefront of bat research and conservation in this county. Speaker: Nik Knight is a retired zoologist who devotes much of his time to the study and conservation of bats. He is both the Chairman of the Hampshire Bat Group and the Hampshire County Recorder for Bats.

Β£8 per ticket, including light refreshments, with all proceeds going to bat conservation.
