Sofar so good ๐ŸŽธ

Let the Music Play ๐ŸŽถ

We were delighted recently to have hosted our second Sofar (Songs from a room) here at the Design Chapel. We had some superb acts for the sold out evening: Firewoodisland, a mountain pop duo from Bristol (via Norway & Wales), singer songwriter and all round lovely fella Olly Hite and Gecko, a brilliant singer storyteller from London. All faultlessly organised by the Sofar Sounds Southampton team, just so professional and lovely with it.

We are a cowork by day but increasingly are putting on events, evenings and weekends - it's so great to have people in and enjoying the space at times where we used to just stand empty. As well as music related events we have also hosted several creative gatherings and workshops recently, along with business events and committee meetings. We welcome new enquiries, please do get in touch if you are looking for a unique and inspiring space. Also, worth noting is that we adopt a โ€˜gift economy approachโ€™ when it comes to hiring the space - if our rate card isnโ€™t going to work for you then we are happy discuss what will, to make it work for everyone involved.

On Saturday the 25th November we are hosting a live music fund raiser evening for our friends at the Platform Tavern, a fantastic Southampton venue that are sadly closed due to a fire recently. We, along with the rest of the Southampton music community, are really keen to help out and get them back open again. We have Daddy Witch, The Slack 5 & Pegasuses generously performing on the night. Please do come along and support, tickets available on Eventbrite.
